Course Description

If you like playing Flash games online and want to find out how to design them, check this course out. You’ll learn how to develop games for the Web using Adobe® Flash®, the world’s most popular authoring tool for online games. You’ll learn some basic programming concepts as you use ActionScript®, the native scripting language of Flash, to develop cool games, then publish them online to share with your friends. This course is the perfect introduction to game design, and because it’s live, you can ask questions, get feedback, and share work with fellow campers from around the country - in real time. By the end of the week, you'll have designed and built your own multi-level Flash game.

System Requirements: Intel® Pentium® 4, Intel Centrino®, Intel Xeon®, or Intel Core™ Duo (or compatible) processor; Microsoft® Windows® XP with Service Pack 3 or Windows Vista™ Home Premium, Business, Ultimate, or Enterprise (certified for 32-bit editions); 512MB of RAM; 64MB of video RAM; 1GB of available hard-disk space (additional free space required during installation); 1,024x768 monitor resolution with 16-bit video card.

To fully develop your skills in this area, we recommend you take Intro to Online Game Design as part of a multi-week sequence.
